The falls is truly beautiful and offers a short walk down to the falls through the coffee plantation. We were fortunate to watch it in its full glory. The water falls has a very narrow road leading up to it and then had a huge line when we went there. It took up nearly 3 hours of our trip to go and come back from the city centre. The ticket cost this 10 per person and 50 rupees for 4 wheeler parking.
Abbi Falls, located near Madikeri in Karnataka, India, is a scenic gem surrounded by lush greenery.
The waterfall is a sight to behold, especially during the monsoon season when it cascades with great force. The pathway is well-maintained, providing excellent viewpoints for photography and relaxation.
Remember to wear sturdy footwear, especially if visiting after rain. While swimming is not allowed, the falls offer a peaceful retreat for nature enthusiasts.
We went on September nearing end of monsoon so the water flow was really good in the falls. Accessing the falls will be on the chargeable basis. But please note that you can't drench or touch the water. This is "view only" falls. Raincoats were sold at this view point.
You have to roughly cross 150 steps to get the view of falls. So for senior citizens not possible to get this view. No wheel chair accessibility as well.
Local people's warned that there are plenty of leaches in the water so be cautious.
Parking available outside but entry and exit will be little congested.
Nice place to visit.
Ticket price was 20 rs, had to walk through the scenic place paved with concrete. Good parking facility. The waterfall is not that big but we went during monsoon so it was a visual treat.
This place is like a one time visit. You can visit with the elderly as well, as there is very less walking.
The waterfall is good but you are not allowed to go near.
Avoid this place on a hot sunny day.
If you want to visit Abbi falls you have to travel by a road

View of waterfall is Awesome, worth it.
Climb down towards water fall within 20min.
Climbing up is difficult for aged people.
There is 15-20 minutes walk to the falls through dense jungles and plantations is a wonderful experience for nature lovers with beautiful flowers all the way. From lush green coffee and cardamon plants to pepper vines on trees, you can see so many amazing things on the way.
Beautiful waterfall near Madikeri town. I loved path passing through dense forest & coffee plantation leading to this picturesque fall. Great place to visit with family. One needs to keep in mind that the stairs leading to the fall may cause problems to elderly people as you need to climb stairs while coming back.
