ABBA Restaurant & Everest German Bakery Varkala - Restaurant in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

This is one of the iconic cafes in Varkala. Most of the cafes on the north cliff have exceptional views of the beach with Abba being no different. The food here is really good but I was not a big fan of the bakery items here. Beer is served without the bottle and in 2 mugs. In most of the cafes in Varkala, we only get Kingfisher beer. One of the cafes to look out for in Varkala. A must visit in terms of food and ambiance.

One of the best places to enjoy great food! Plenty of options in food n beverages available.. their breakfast combo is amazing, so is their quality of food, freshly prepared and the best part is no MSG added! The ambience is awesome, good food n beach go hand in hand while relishing it! (Located at Varkala north cliff)

What a great place to dine in! I had dinner from here. Out of the 6 cafes I have tried in the cliff area this is the best experience so far. Ambience was too good along with the candle light. Remarkable service and friendliness is much appreciated. The food served wad exceptionally well. We had spaghetti chicken pasta which was top notch and way better compared to hyped restaurants near by. Chicken sheikh kabab was classic. Loved its presentation and supporting elements. This place will not be a disappointment. Since dine in was dueing night we didnt get any beach sites but breeze was pleasant.

We were a group of four and they had plenty of available spots for dinner at 7pm. The starters were decent but not great, all the fish (calamari and prawn) we ordered was deep fried. As a main course we had chicken korma and gadai paneer. The chicken korma was very sweet, we had the feeling they cook as in Europe, not authentic. We've definitely had better kormas in other places in India. The paneer was very good. The restaurant also offers beer for 300 rupees. They have all the cuisines, which for me personally is not a good sign. Overall place for tourists.

Morning breakfast couldn't have been better with the best view at Abba Restaurant on North Cliff. Strolling around the cliff market, we came to this place to have something to fill our tummy so we had Vegetable Sandwich and Mixed Fruit Pancake along with black tea. Overlooking the sea and the waves rushing the shore, we had the best time having breakfast.

The place was fine and cosy. We tried out their Grilled Fish, Chicken Pizza, Paneer Curry(don't remember the name it was creamy in texture along with Naan), Grilled Sizzler Chicken Rice, Caesar Salad and desserts. The Grill Chicken rice and Fish tasted amazing. All the food were worthy.

Great sea view and atmosphere. Wide ranging menu and the food was delicious. However, the service was extremely slow and the waiters even ignored customers as they walked past. Don't expect to get your food for at least 40 mins.
