AB food paradise restaurant - South Indian restaurant in Chennai - Chengalpattu, India

Visited the siruseri branch.This place serves flavors of madurai. They have an interesting menu with catchy names. The food cost is reasonable. We have booked for Karivirundhu(Has to be booked a day earlier) for lunch. On a long banana leaf they started with Chicken, nattu kozli, mutton chukka, boti, thala kari, ratham poriyal, egg podimas, mutton curry, Crab, fried chicken leg, fried kaadai, fried fish. Then they served parota/ roti along with biryani, white rice with chicken gravy, mutton gravy and rasam. The taste seems very authentic. The chicken is very soft and tasty. The mutton chukka with combination of biryani tastes very good. The biryani is not oily and made up of seeraga samba rice, definitely taste of South. I am having Thalakari for first time taste was nice. The fish was fresh. The kaadai fry tasted very awesome. They told the rice and gravy are unlimited. Chicken and mutton gravy are average but rasam was good.. The quantity of sidedish was good and I personally believed that the meat was freshly cooked on the day as items of Karivirundhu are available only for those who booked on previous day. I felt the the food part it definitely resembles the flavours of maduri home food. The final touch with Goli soda was a bliss. The place is definitely try for all.

It was on my list for last few weeks but disppaointed after the visit. They entertain booking for Karivirudhu through whatsapp. You have to pay an advance of 500 Rs. We booked the table for one pm on a Sunday. When we visited the hotel around 1 pm it was complete chaos. There was a huge crowd waiting for the AC room. They didn't give any headsup in whatsapp that it will be a first come first serve for AC and I wasn't ready to take the table outside where atleast 50 number of people will be around you when you have lunch. So waited and when the time ticket 1:30 and again when I tried to get into A.C. room it was given to few others whom went in first. Absolute poor queue management With no other choice took the table outside which is a non AC. Coming to the food. They served Muttai omlette, Parotta, naatukoli fry, Chicken leg piece roast, fish roast , ratha poriyal, thala Kari, Nandu fry , mutton chukka, koli varuval, Boti, Briyani, kaadai fry, white rice. Huge variety.. Boti, mutton chukka, naatukoli, ratha poriyal were nice rest all wasn't good. Parotta oil looks to be very old and was smelling like old. Briyani wasn't good. Leg roast was again not good. Fish roast was pathetic and for sure it wasn't vanjiram. No onion patchadi for Briyani which wasn't acceptable. The very impressive part was the servers were very kind and they served it much faster and with happy face. None of the dishes were hot. Gave an advise to the cashier that they have to tie up with some vendors for queue management and table bookibg.Overall not a best place for a much hype.

They serve traditional Madurai dishes. Food tastes good and the price is also reasonable. The ambiance is not good and the area is also very congested. Hospitality is not appreciable. They serve on round banana leaf kept on top of a plate. Restaurant was opened recently and their is not much rush. There is enough parking space available in front of the restaurant.

Non-vegetarian. Perfect food paradise for foodies. An ideal place for guys to getogether. Ambience isn't that great. Little bit of waiting time. But the service was very good. Taste of every dish was satisfying.

Nice, waiting time is little bit longer. If we need good food we have to bear the crowd. Nice dishes. Usually if we eat in hotel or eat this much items in home also we have to suffer at least a day, but surprisingly after eating this much spice items we never had any stomach problems. Great keep rocking.

Being vegetarian I couldn't like it much. Cost of the items are reasonable. It has more of South Indian and non veg items. Overall it's just okay for veg foods but if you are non vegetarian you can give it a try.

Food was excellent and very tasty. They always give more emphasis on customer satisfaction. Worth trying...

Similar to YBM in perunthurai. Kari virunthu(25 varieties of non-veg) actually not. Food was not so good. Briyani was ok. And the highlight is for compensation of mutton brain fry they gave us egg podimas. Chicken was not cooked properly. Fish was not fried. Only thing is Gulab jamun was good. Nothing is hot as well.
