The restaurant is spacious, has two floors, lighting is soft and table arrangement is comfortable. The food was delicious and authentic and was served hot and fresh with quick and efficient service. The staff was polite and courteous also giving us suggestions and being attentive making us feel welcome and valued. Price was reasonable Rs 1200/- for four people, Rs300/- per person. Although the restaurant has high wait time on weekends, weekdays are comparably leisurely.

Aaswad is all vegetarian restaurant serving breakfast, snacks, meals, desserts and beverages. Their speciality is Maharashtrian cuisine but they have south Indian, fast food on the menu. Their misal is very famous. They have thali option and foods varities that cater to fasting requirements. I found the tables and chairs very uncomfortable to sit and eat. While menu is all good, taste lacks in some items and so does quantity. Overall good experience for those trying to venture Maharashtrian cuisine. There is always a 30-40 mins wait time as much crowd gathers outside the restaurant that it is difficult to get in and out of the restaurant. Either there is genuine scarcity of tables or badly managed. There is equal rush at the parcel counter for delivery takers. There is another counter outside selling good sweets and snacks which are equally famous.

One of the oldest and most traditional places in Dadar. The food is authentic and amazing maharashtrian flavours. Whenever my non-marathi friends come to Mumbai, I take them to this place. Misal, vadapav, thali peeth, sabudana Vada, Kothimbir vadi are amazing. The seasonal Ambadal is also amazing. Piyush is something I highly recommend. The ambiance is too good. They have ground and 1st floor. I personally prefer the 1st floor, it has an amazing view. In the end try their caramel custard pudding it is yummy.

The best Maharashtrian food. Very authentic and loads of variety of food available Tried the Misal pav: Amazing taste 10/10 Pav bhaji : 10/10 Vadapav : 10/10. Very delicious. They put Farzana inside which was a bonus Thali peet: 10/10. So soft and fresh Puranpoli: was not warm but taste was great 9/10 Puranpoli icecream: very unique, first time ever trying something like this. 10/10 Sev puri: so rich and tasty 10/10 The staff was also very nice. He helps if he sees that you're having trouble in how to eat. Very nice experience overall.

Firstly, get ready to stand in a long queue for your turn. After 1 hour when you finally get your turn, they serve you food which is sweet I was super excited to try their famous misal pav and other maharashtrian delicacies, but to my suprise it wasn't what I expected The misal pav was average and the each Maharashtrian dish was sweet as they put sugar into it. After having this "sweet" food, even the sweet i.e. lockey halwa tasted like a mithai I would suggest please don't wait your precious time going here! Aaswad destroyed my muh ka Sawad

This is a perfect place to dine-out with your family and friends. It's almost crowded everyday during dinner hours. We waited for an hour to get inside and have their Pithhale Bhaaji Bhakri, Kothimbir Vadi, Missal Pav, Lassi, Caramel Custard and Kharvas. The food was delicious and yummy. The service was prompt and the staff was welcoming. Definitely worth visiting.

The food is amazing. Authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. Thali peeth, Kothimbir vada, Poori peeyush, Pitla, Varan baat, Puran poli, everything was tasty and delicious. Family enjoyed it. Went today, on a Sunday and had to wait 90 minutes to get into the restaurant. Large crowds waiting to get in. If planning to go on weekends then plan to have brunch at 12 pm or late lunch at around 3.30pm to avoid the long wait. Food was worth the wait though. Will definitely plan to come again and again.

Thalipeth, Kothimbir Vadi, Sabudana Vada, Aloo Tikki Chaat, Puran Poli, and Piyush - these dishes are an absolute delight and have a flavor that reaches the pinnacle of taste. I highly recommend savoring them during the evenings, particularly on weekdays, as the restaurant tends to get extremely crowded on weekends.
