Its not good in the rainy season many incidents are noticed please take care if planning in the rainy season.
Aarey is forest land spread over acres. The picnic point is a small garden with a lake and space to stop by. Sapling plantation and cleanup drives are frequently carried out here. Measures required by the government and visitors to help keep this place cleaner. A small shop at the corner nearby serves great snack. Do not miss the Buttermilk and milk drinks from aarey.
Aarey forest is very huge. It has various kinds of lives. Biodiversity is at its best. The place is so huge that it can't be covered by walking. If one want to cover the whole area then car/bike would make it feasible. The picnic point is beautiful and very much recommended for groups and families. The Best buses are also available for the same. Other than this auto rickshaw and cab would do its bit.
The garden near by is not much is a good condition because of one thing that it has lot of damp spots inside. Other than that it's good It is a good spot for a group meet up It is a good spot is you want to have a walk in nature It has a bustop near by from where buses go to different parts of mumbai Also this place plays a vital role in gathering people for protest to save aarey forest If you plan to visit this place please take care that you don't damage it by throwing any plastic waste
Good for a one day picnic and outing, best thing is you can carry your own food at the park and enjoy the home made food in between forest area

The location is great but not maintained at all. Giving 4 stars for the natural beauty and 0 for maintenance. There are broken beer / liquor bottles all over this place.
