Aambika Udyan And Park - Park in Uran Islampur - Sangli, India

One of the most famous and good park in Islampur. Fees are nominal, that was 10 rupees when I visited. There is also fountain show at evening and It's nice and peaceful to see it. This park also has one small railway and you can ride it too! Beides you can Seat ...Take photographs ...enjoy sitting... It's good to go at evening time around 5:30. Instruments for children are there ( not for adults). I will strongly suggest you to visit once.

A nice little garden to enjoy with kids and family in Islampur, a good place to spend the evening with kids, lots of different things to enjoy for kids. I would say this is a place to spend the evening with family and kids.

Now days islampur urus (jatra) ( fair ) is going on on this place . It's very good environment now day's. You can enjoy here with your family.

Entrance fee is Rs. 10/~ per person irrespective of age. Entrance gate looks promising from outside. Park is disappointing from inside. It's too small in size. There is nothing to see inside. All swings and sea~saws for children are broken and non~functional. Entrance of park is greeted by stinking rabbit enclosures with rotten cabbage strewn around. Artificial pond is kept locked behind large gates. Fountain was dry when I visited at 4.30pm. Similarly, an ordinary toy train was without service ... I was told that it plies after 6pm. A overhead walk-through looks seemingly dangerous for children without safety fencing at places. Mobile photography is free including high definition photography. But any ordinary to sophisticated DSLR camera is charged Rs. 100/~ per camera ! A complete waste of money and the worst experience of my life so far regarding parks. I don't recommend a worthy visit to this destination.

Lighting arrangements need to be ample in the night. People must not litter. Train has no light. Though very good space to enjoy walking or playing and good for children.
