nice beach with calm area. an off road vehicle can reach to sand area close to water and drive for few hundred meters, but need to be careful to prevent a stuck off in sand. approach road has a big cutting, so high ground clearance suv needed, never try with sedan and hatchback cars.

Consider this one an (almost) private beach. Solo women travelers, it's alright to visit here by yourself but be a bit cautious if you spot yourself all alone there.

This is a secluded offbeat beach at Varkala ! In most of the cases, you will be landed all alone in the beach. Solo travellers, women travellers need to be bit more conscious while going to this beach. You cannot say it as drive in beach as the name suggests. Two wheelers and off road vehicles can be taken till the end of the road. Unless in other beaches of Varkala, one can ride only upto the cliff. Beyond that one has to climb down the stairs to reach the beach. There are no shops in the beach. Same like other beaches in Varkala. Kites (a kind of birds) will fly in ground height, which is little scary for normal people. At the same time, it will be a delightful sight for bird watchers and photographers.

Best place to summer vibe. No such crowd so you can chill here.

Beach is really calm and quiet. Sunset is really good to watch from here. People traffic is less than other beaches in Varkala

You can have a beautiful view from the cliff area of this beach. This is an isolated beach. Usually the local peoples near by only will be visiting here. Not a spot for having fun or enjoying. If you want to sit and have a calm atmosphere then you can visit here. Sad part is that the beach is not clean. So many waste is settled on the beach shore. That is a negative I found here.
