Its one of the oldest and authentic misal house in Kolhapur. You can get a misal in65 Rs. Can also get kanda bhaji which is very famous here. Yes hospitality is not very welcoming and little bit rude but its okay. Overall good misal house.
Small traditional hotel which serves a very unique authentic misal not found anywhere in kolhapur. Perfect balance of spices and the tarri/cut is made of onion. They serve good Kanda bhajji and the chai here is very tasty. The process of making tea is unique and is made in bronze vessel.
This is the only place I recommend to my friends and extended family members, who are not aware of this place.
Best time to go is 7-8 am. The misal is tastiest one.
The Misal served here is not just the best in Kolhapur, but is the best I have ever eaten across the world!
Must try items: Misal, Kanda bhaji, Batata Vada, Upma, Sheera, TEA
Best breakfast location in town. Opens at 6.30 with Upma ready and then misal takes time (around 7.30 am). Kanda bhaji (onion pakoda) is prepared differently at Aahar and liked by many including me.
Aaharchi Misal is very tasty and is my all time favourite.

One more information I received while talking to owner is that in winter not much rush in the morning, so the place is available to sit and relax.
Bhaji is made bit later in the morning in winter season while vada is made at 8.15-8.30 am while misal is available from 7.15-7.30 am
The misal was full of shev and they was no
"matki" moth bean sprouts which is the main part of misal.
I visited this place because they are known for their traditional kolhapuri misal but I'm really disappointed and the taste didn't even match as per kolhapur style.
And I really appreciate the help of staff for guiding me on where to take share auto and how much to pay.

Tried the Misal. It's readily available. The taste, the spice and overall quality was good. It's a simple place with limited seating. Pocket friendly.
