Aah Biryani - Restaurant in Krishnanagar - Nadia, India

Biriyani is good. But it is very oily and a little bit sweet. Otherwise this is a good biriyani. Better than dada boudi biriyani (barrackpore). But wish there was less oil. It is 4.5 star rated biriyani but for oil I'll give this 3.5/5 -- Chicken Biryani Ambience is good . Service is good . I'll definitely recommend this biriyani . But try to use less oil.

The atmosphere there is very very charming. Well decorated and clean place. Biryani is also good. The quality and the taste is awesome. It almost tastes like homemade. Raita and chicken Chaap are also good.

The best biryani I have ever had. Neither too rich nor too light.. Just the right. A Beautiful mixture of delightful Aroma and spices that just raises yout appetite to its peak as soon as the plate is served on your table. Beautiful ambience and beautiful service from the staffs. It deserves to be the one stop go for Biryani lovers like me.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is good , staffs are also good. We tried Special Chicken Biriyani and chicken chap. The quantity is good but I didn't like the taste of both the biriyani and the chap.

Ok!lets get on with a review. Locationally it is in a good position. Easily identifiable for its landmark. From outside it looks good. The exteriors are catchy. The chairs are metallic, though looks attractive, are not easily maneuverable. Its seems a bit heavy when you draw the chairs yourself to sit as there is none to do that for you. No gestures shown as such, though you are being called by sir or madam from the very start. Water you are offered is either mineral packaged drinking water or regular water in coloured glass bottles with plastic made glasses or normal glasses. Food prices at par with many 3 star restaurants but the mutton department looks pretty exorbitant. No justification I found for that pricing, double than its chicken counterpart. The food served are on black plates. Now as per standards black plates may look eye candy but on actual should be avoidable. Foreign particles on food both intended or unintended are easily identifiable on a white background but it becomes extremely difficult when you have black plates with yellow light glowing. The staff behaviour seemed ok but the management behaviour was cold. Now when I entered there was no customers so the AC was off. They switched on the AC at 26degC. Now that even higher than Ac standard temp of 24degC, no cooling effect was felt as the 2 ACs installed are at 2 ends of the restaurant. The request to set the temperature lower was also fell on deaf ears. You dont expect here a cosy atmosphere when you are having a food that generate heat. These are minute things management should look into before thinking about electricity bill. Lets come into the food served. Biryani served was hot. Not a great taste though, at least not at par with the arsalan( original) for kolkata dum biyani claim. Use of fried onions dampens the taste further, keora water usage quantity is a taste bud dampening. Its better than some of the local made biryanis, but fails expectations as per advertisements or claims. The rice is definitely good. But I have a doubt that the food served is not under continuous heat from boiling water, as the rice seemed not tender enough to smack, it seemed undercooked or was microwave heated. Quantity served was ok considering the establishment cost and not the menu card listing. Dum biryani was served with 2 pcs of meat and one boiled egg and the signature potato. Management is adviced not to serve those pieces which are at the lowest of the biryani pot with burnt marks. They do not enhance taste. But what is served as chicken "chap" is an absolute farce, its nothing but cheap platter of undercooked onion and garlic mixed in funny proportions and served as chap...it looks and tastes nothing but a sweet undercooked chicken kosha. This was very untoward. Lastly I would recommend this place for a round of biryani, thats all, as a biryani joint. But it will be foolish to anticipate authentic kolkata biryani and chap taste.

I had an amazing time at Aah Biryani. The food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. I can't wait to return to savor their delicious dishes and enjoy their top-notch service again.

Biriyani Taste is not good..very dry biriyani .. behaviour is good ambience also good.and quantity is better...but I'm not satisfied so not recommended any one
