Aadishakti aai Ekvira Devi Temple - Featured Reviews (22324)
Best location if you find a temple or hindu god. Toilets are not clean. Parking issue. Lack of service. Need to arrange free water for visitors.
Prepare yourself for climbing/trekking to this temple. You have another option to take auto rickshaw till the top stair around half way and then trek remaining half. Auto takes rupees 150-200 one way. You can also visit karla caves just next to temple.

Ekvira temple is must visit in Lonavala... Very famous.... Stair as appx 550...and will take appx 30-40mins to reach to top point... Karla caves and Ekvira temple are adjoining tk each other... Karla caves have ticket Rs. 25/ head.... Nothing much in Karla caves.... Recommend....!
Beautiful Place. The vibe is completely divine. It was a great experience. I would defineatly recommend to visit here specially in monsoon as the greenery looks amazing all around.
The main deity of the temple is Ekvira Aai and she is flanked on the left by Jogeswari Devi. Ekvira Aai is worshipped by Daivadnya Brahmins and she is also the Kul-Devi of the Koli and Sunar Communities. The temple is also frequented by the Aagri-Koli people and the Koli (fishermen)The deity is also worshipped as Renuka and is the Mother of Chiranjivi or the immortal sage Parashurama, an Avatar of Lord Vishnu. The worship is carried on right next to the caves, which was once a major center of Buddhism
A historic and divine beauty. The temple will give you Ellora caves vibes since it is also carved from gigantic rocks, but you will feel more blessed here. Challenges:- You have to take your vehicle via highly inclined road. On weekend it might take hours to reach the parking point, not because of distance but because of crowd and compact road. After parking your vehicle you have to climb various stairs (no other options), this might make you feel really exhausted. But..... The view when you reach the temple is worth it. There are a few waterfalls, great view from that height, cool atmosphere and etc. Those who are especially going for the temple to take blessings, will not be affected by the stairs or other challenges. Devotees are highly motivated to reach the temple, these challenges will not bother them. Fin.
Aadishakti Aai Ekvira Devi holds a revered place among hindu devotees. This temple at Karla stands as a testament to hindu devotion and cultural richness, making it a highly revered destination for those seeking Maa Durga's blessings. The surrounding cave architecture adds to the spiritual and serene surroundings and gives uplifting experience. There is no provision for lift /escalator for pregnant woman, elderly and handicapped people. Temple Management should seriously look into this asap.
