We went there for lunch today. For 3 people we got a bill around 2300 which is fine as we ordered quite a dish. We took Kolkata Bhetki Fish Fry (2ps), Gondhoraj Chicken strips (10ps) and Mutton Chop (2ps) in our starter plate. Later we went on with Luchi(6ps), Banglar Kosha Aloo'r Dom, Rai Bahadur Bhuna Mangso(4ps) and Dhakai Pora Mangso(4ps) on our main course plate. By this time we were almost full, even though we couldn't complete all our dishes and parceled up rest, we couldn't resist ourselves to dig the dessert menu. We took Chana'r Malpua with Ice Cream and Baked Mihidana.
That was a scrumptious meal for us.
The only point I want to pin out in a con portion is that we bengali always prefer Rewaji Khasi when we consider mutton. I will appreciate it if you use Rewaji Khasi in your mutton preparation in future.
We had an impromptu plan to visit there. After watching a movie at Carnival, we were looking for a nearby restaurant to have lunch and found this gem. Its two minitues walking distance from carnival cinema, saltlake. We had ordered Gondhoraj Lassi, Gondhoraaj chicken crispy, mutton dak bunglow, and murg polao. Each of the dishes is worth every single penny. So lip smacking. Must try their mutton dak bunglow. It's their signature dish. Will definitely visit again. 1000 to 1200 is needed for two people for full-fledged lunch.
Very good place, great ambiance, staff is very friendly, and the food is top notch. Very pleasant experience and great food.

4th Street dinning hall is a fine dine restaurant who serves authentic bengali cuisine. Their menu also contains various dishes from Bangladesh as well.
It is located just bang opposite side of carnival cinemas, saltlake sector-3.
They have showcased the Raj influence on Bengali cuisine through various dishes like the cutlets and kabiraji.
The Ambience over here is very quirky, accompanied with a soothing bengali music playing in the background.
Dinning under a huge table, with a chandelier overhead and some great dishes on the table. Just feels great to be honest.
Coming to the food, we have tried their-
Alur chop- just feels like you are having one from your favourite street vender. Little bit spicy, mashed potatoes mixed with some ginger, Coriander and basic bengali spices. And coated with some chickpea flour and fried till golden.
Chicken kabiraji- one of my favourites to have over here. Crunchy outside and soft and tender flavoured chicken inside.
Koraishutir kachori- please do give it a try, thin Puri stuffed with freshly ground peas, and a strong hint of cumin makes it more flavourful.
Aloo dum- it has a homely taste.A bit on the spicier side, just the way I like it to be. Topped with some freshly half ground coriander seeds
Cholar daal- it was decent to taste. Koraishutir kochuri was accompanying well with the daal.
Rice-
Lal Chittagong Murgi- it had a different taste. Not the basic curry that we have every weekend, a bit spicy. The chicken was very succulent and was flavourful. Garnished with some corriander.
Dab Bhapa Chingri- an awesome preparation. This is a must have dish for all the prawn lovers out there. The portion size was great. And the gravy was smooth and creamy.
To end this delicious huge spread we have opted for chanarmalpoa. The malpoa was the cheery on the top to this entire spread.
Just amazing please try this dish too.
Last but not the least, do visit this awesome restaurant if you are near to saltlake, sector3. You will love it .

Happy Fooding!
The restaurant has pleasantly surprised us with the high standard of food quality, cleanliness, very cordial hospitality and superfast service. We were looking for a quality option for authentic Bengali cuisine and thought of giving the place a try and it really paid off. Each and every item was just amazing! Mutton and Mourola macher jhal peyaji are two standout performers you must try. We have opted for the carefully curated meal. It had brought us a bit of nostalgia with the striking resemblance of a lavish Bengali wedding menu. With the high quality of food and service they have kept the price in a really affordable and pocket friendly range. In case you are looking for Bengali cuisine, this place is definitely what you can count on!!
Thanks for treating us so well and making us feel at home!
