It is located 4 kms away from Thenmala on Shengottai - Punalur road. It is a British Era Built bridge @ Tunnel No: 2 beneath the railway line of the above destinations. Locally it is called as Pathimoonu Kannara Bridge..with 13 arches. The train journey from Punalur to Shengottai itself is a memorable experience full of scenic Beauty passing tunnels. The train is fitted with 2 Engine one at front to pull and one at back to push as there are uphill terrain during the journey.
Nice place to see. This bridge was constructed during british period still it is strong. Path to the cave has been closed. Yet you can climb over the rocks and you can see the cave. This path is still in use so be careful when you visit.
Also a good place to take photos
Oldest railway bridge parallel above the road in Tenkasi Punalur section. Constructed during the British period in Meter gauge connected by tunnel hills. Many films and stunt scenes have been shooted in this bridge.
Nice place...
Road is in-between a mountain and a river.. just get down and feel it , capture it and continue your journey..
Its nice photographic site.... The steps climbing to the top of the bridge is now closed but there a small pathway through which we can reach the bridge top and can see the rail tracks. The vehicles can be parked under each arch... Its spacious. Taking photographs is bit risky beacuse all the time heavy loaded vehicles passes in every secs... So be careful while taking photographs.
You can't get to the top of the bridge. It is railway land and is strictly prohibited to climb the bridge. Any accidents on top of the bridge will not be covered by insurance and there will be criminal charges applicable.
As it is railway land can't get on to the bridge. The road is narrow here so can't park car for long. The bridge is beautiful but you can see it only from the road.
Thrilling experience to travel in the historical Kollam - Sengottai railway line. 80% of the travel is through dense forests with few tunnels. Do not expect any facilities like food and water in the stations. Be prepared for 4 hrs deserted journey. Natives are very friendly and kind hearted, they still are from good old days .
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the resort. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room provided a comfortable retreat, and the adventure park offered exciting activities. Although the forest safari provided a uniq
Need to walk alot, awesome viewpoint, you can see the beauty of western ghats. Either you can spend time in the dam or one can go to adventure park nearby this dam.
Indeed a beautiful and amazing place to visit.
We were not lucky enough because we got there by 5:30 pm. And everything was closed.
We only got chance to see musical water fountain and history video presentation
They both were good.
The history of T
Love to see. Everyone must visit and get some fresh air. Nice for kids they really love it and enjoy it. Different animal statues, tall trees, tree house etc. Aquazone are also available.
Amazing place to spend a holiday. A different experience especially for couples and family. Some rides are friendly for women but some are a bit difficult, I think that's what make them adventurous. I wish that they add more safe guards soon, prefera

Nice place to visit with kids if your child loves animals. You can have a closer look at deer. There are many of them and they have a small recreation area for kids at the end with some swings and seesaws .
