Studio K is the BEST environment for both the professional dancer and first timer. Come to one class and you will be coming back! Great variety of classes, knowledgeable instructors and staff, and lots of fun!

If I could rate Studio K as a 10 I absolutely would!!! I found this place by accident at the beginning of 2022. Someone mentioned "pound" yoga and I'd never heard of it so I googled and Studio K popped up! I looked at what they offered and what first caught my eye was the Lightsaber Fitness, being a huge Star Wars fan, my curiosity was piqued! I needed to see what it was all about. Not wanting to show my Star Wars "geekness" I went by myself and attended the Zumba class prior to the LS class. WOW! What an incredible, high energy rush that was!!! The instructor was amazing. GREAT workout!!! After Zumba I asked if I could hang around to watch the Lightsaber class and was enthusiastically told "Absolutely"! Fast forward to now, not only have I enjoyed the Lightsaber classes, but seeing other classes go on, I got the courage to attend others. You see, I've never danced in my life, but wanted to give it a try, because, you know.. YOLO. I absolutely LOVE the classes. It's a total "no judgement" zone. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and very understanding to people like me who have questions on how to do dance moves I'm not familiar with. I LOVE the musical theater/jazz classes and workshops! So much fun and camaraderie! My favorite of the fitness classes is Broadway Burn. The instructor, Liz, is a bundle of energy and creativity with all the dance fitness choreography to awesome broadway soundtracks! I honestly could go on and on about how AWESOME Studio K is, but I will leave you with this....just go...you know you wanna! P.S. Pound classes with Aileen are awesome too!!!!! 😁

When moving from NY I had a hard time finding adult dance classes. An advertisement for Studio K popped up and the rest is history. The wide array of styles keeps me learning and growing as not only a performer, but a teacher and choreographer. The teachers are incredible. I haven't had a class I didnt LOVE. Kristin is a gem and I am so grateful this studio exists. I'd recommend everyone to take classes here!

Hard to say. Not sure why people who are doing for long time still can not dance well. Fitness classes are good. Most dance instructors can not teach well except one/two. Mostly learning 50mins chores in a one-hour class. Similar steps (repeat all the time) with different (mostly unknown) songs in each class. They should post the songs before the class in the schedule. If the dance instructors can post the final routine in the social media early, so people can prepare prior the class if / since they cannot teach. The regulars talk too much with the instructor in the front row all the time. Hardly can to hear what was going on at the back. It will be helpful if the the owner can put air conditioning. Overall, zero to one star.

Hi! Thank you very much for sharing your full feedback and I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your time with us. Our studio is for all levels of ability and we welcome brand new beginners to professional dancers daily, so you will always see a mix of dance levels which is what makes Studio K open and special for all. Our classes always feature a warm-up and cool down so the 50-minute choreo is traditional for a 1-hour class and we do our best to use a wide variety of music which you can see evidenced on our YouTube Channel. As for the talking in class and air conditioning which is on daily except in cold weather, I very much apologize for that. If you would have brought either to our attention in person, we would have been happy to handle immediately. We do everything we can to make every guest's experience the best that it can be, and if you would ever like to give us another try, please email [email protected] and I would love to offer you a free class! Thank you again for your feedback - we take all reviews very seriously and your visit means a lot to us.

I had a yearning to start to learn to dance for about a year, without knowing how or where to start. After attempting online searches, I continuously failed to find a place to go in my local area, and it can be terrifying to go on your own. With no prior dance experience at the age of 27, I was nervous about attending a class. I ended up at Studio K in March of 2023 because a friend of mine, who I trust, was teaching classes there. I was unsure of myself, and that first class, I did my best to learn the movements in his contemporary class, and felt proud of how I did afterwards, even if I felt like I'd just jumped into the deep end of dance by taking contemporary as my first style. After that class, I kept coming back. I've attended a few other styles, and have found Studio K to be a safe learning environment. I've never felt judged for my lack of knowledge in dance terminology. The individuals that I have encountered that teach the classes are all passionate about the dance, and kind souls. The owner of the studio is a sweetheart - this studio is her dream, and you can tell that she cherishes it, as well as the various students and teachers that walk through its door. Coming to class is something I look forward to here. I, personally, have taken contemporary, jazz funk, hip hop, musical theater, beginner ballet, and deep stretch classes in the approximately four-and-a-half months of attending this studio, and come at least once a week. I've definitely seen myself grow as a dancer throughout my experience here, as well as start to heal my relationship with fitness, in general, and I definitely plan to continue coming. The classes are reasonably priced, at $10 a class, with the exception being their workshop classes on Fridays, which are themed, longer classes that end up being a lot of fun, but even then, are still affordable at $15. And if you find yourself wanting to come more often, there's also an option of purchasing 10 courses for $85 (does not cover workshops), saves you $15 on ten classes. She offers a discount on this option for anyone who works at the theme parks. I adore this studio so much, and definitely would recommend coming to it, whether you're an experienced dancer, someone new to dance as I am, or someone who hasn't danced in a while and wants to get back into it, it's a welcoming place to be. Even if you aren't a dancer, there's fitness-style courses, such as Hip Hop Tone Up, Zumba, and Deep Stretch. And, if you're a Star Wars fan, there's also a Lightsaber technique class. All that said, definitely come try a class! You might just find your new place that feels like home in the process.

UPDATE: Kristen responded to my review and called me a Liar. I uploaded images of the voicemail transcript so you can see exactly what I said was true. You can see the date of the voicemail she left was 7/17/23 and the transcript shows that she said the payment did not process on the sixth. Which is 11 days, not 3 weeks as she wrote in her response. And as you can see twice in the voicemail transcript she threated me with collections. It seems she in fact is the liar. So insulting and unprofessional. Shame on you Kristen, not only did you treat me horribly on my call with you yesterday, you just called me a liar. Thankfully I have documents to prove what I said is true. ORIGINAL REVIEW POSTED: If I could give a zero I would. When you prioritize money over people, you never succeed. I just had the most ridiculous experience with Kristen at Studio K. I signed up for dance classes earlier this year. I chose the annual contract and was able to attend a few classes. Shortly after I signed up I experienced devastating circumstances that kept me from being able to attend classes for several months. Even so, I continued to pay my $50 payment without fail month after month. When I went on vacation for the July 4th holiday one of my debit cards was compromised. I did not realize that this was the card I use to make my monthly payments as I had signed up months before. Since the card was closed due to it being compromised, the payment was not able to go through on July 6th. Today, July 17th I received a voicemail from Kristen at Studio K, which was very lengthy, threatening me with collections. I immediately called her back to correct the situation. I explained to Kristen that my card had been compromised. She had no sympathy or consideration just said that if I didn’t pay I would be sent to collections (after being 11 days late) and repeated what she said on the voicemail. I said this is the first call that I received and she said “well we sent several emails.” She continue to argue with me in the most ridiculous way saying that I shouldn’t provide an email that I’m not checking. And I should’ve called them to let them know my card was compromised. Again, I explained I was on vacation and haven’t checked my email and still she repeated the same thing over and over. I was treated like I was some type of deadbeat. Again the payment was 11 days late. It’s completely insulting. I would never treat any of my clients with this type of disrespect. It sounds like Kristen has experience as a debt collector because the aggressive approach she took was as if I owed her $10,000.00 and she has been attempting to collect it over the last six months! If she would have treated me with any kindness or respect I would have updated my payment and continued, but after this horrific experience, I decided to cancel my contract and pay a $150 early termination fee. I’m not interested in supporting ANY small business that doesn’t care about its customers. Especially one that threatens legal action over an 11 day overdue payment. It’s obvious that money is much more important than the customer. With this type of attitude, I don’t see Studio K being open for much longer. I recommend another dance studio where they actually care for their dancers. If Google would allow images to be uploaded, I would happily upload the snapshots of the voicemail transcript that Kristen left, so you can read Word for Word how she treated me. If you decide to go forward with this business, you may be on the receiving end of this type of behavior. Save yourself the disrespect and find another dance studio.

Hi Renee, We feel badly that you feel this way, however, your description of events is sadly untrue. As was shared yesterday, we tried to reach you several times documented in writing to the email address that you provided as your point of contact. When no response was given by you in nearly three weeks, you were called yesterday with a more than friendly message, as an additional extra courtesy, to again notify you of our policy and we even offered to help in any way. When a member chooses not to respond in several weeks, we can only adhere to the policy that we put in place that you were made aware of when you signed, initialed, and committed to your Annual Contract at Studio K. We didn't even charge you the late fee that is also expressed in your signed agreement if you miss the payment date - every attempt was made to work with you and to give you time to respond which you did not. We again apologize that you feel this way and thank you for your business.

Studio K is an amazing place! It's run by one of the most amazing, thoughtful, caring people in the world. It truly is a judgement free zone. I started dancing for the first time at 39 years old here and never have I once felt like I was less than any of the instructors or fellow dancers. Been going here for 2 years so far and don't plan on stopping!

Oh my goodness, James thank you so much! :-) The studio could never be the same without you on that dance floor and we are so lucky you walked into that door that very first day! Thank you again!
