When we first met with the ACS team the vision of our dream home only existed in our dreams. Two separate addition projects 1) larger bedrooms, a reconfigured bath, a laundry room and a portico front entrance. 2) an ell addition on rear of the existing house for a spacious dining room with an equally roomy den below, and finally a three-season porch in lieu of an existing deck. On site consultations with Jay and Will presented us with many suggestions and layout options for our consideration. Design concepts led to layout schematics and then construction blueprints. Janet and I found both Jay and Will friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable of the possible as well as the constraints of our situation. Our contractors found their plans to be clear and thorough, for both bidding cost and day to day use on the job site. We are currently, well into the second project, and we couldn't be happier. Jay took the time to meet with us, took lots of notes, made a lot measurements and asked a lot of questions - showing that he understood what we needed. The team made excellent suggestions on our kitchen design, but let us make the final decision on the design, which we loved. We would use ACS again!

Jay and Will were great to work with and gave me some very creative ideas on how to improve my living space. I live in a condo in the city so increasing living space when you can't build an addition is tough! They spent time to walk me through the plans and answer my questions.

We hired Mr Mason to do some renovation for our medical office. On first impression, he was quiet, and seemed down to earth. As the project progressed, quiet became lazy. He missed deadlines repeatedly. He was grossly incompetent, placing the housekeeper closet at the front of the office instead of next to the bathrooms in the back, for instance. He routinely failed to provide what was agreed upon, and then would ask for more money to do the same scope of work. His work ethics was stunningly poor, especially for someone whose resume boasts of being an Eagle Scout. I would strongly advise against hiring him. But if you lose a bet and you have to, you have to hire someone else to review all his works.

I have been a general contractor for 35 years and have worked with Jay for over 25 years. I find him to be a very competent and thorough architect. Jay is very personable, he makes himself readily available and will always call you back.

Always professional and accommodating. Have used them for a few projects and will continue to do so.
