THE SPOT by Villa Shanti - Restaurant in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

I went to the SPOT restaurant for the occasion of my wife's birthday. Raju and team arranged a wonderful candle light dinner at the roof-top. They had arranged a special chef & waiters especially for our private table and their services are very good. The atmosphere was nice with a cool breeze along with the view of the beach. The food was amazing where they served soups, starters, main courses and desserts which were cooked based on our own taste and their special recommendations. It was a lovely dinner to add into our memories THE SPOT - Must try restaurant in Pondicherry !

The Spot is located at the prime location in Pondicherry. View is amazing from this place as it is near the beach area you can enjoy the sea view with your meal. Property is really good and spacious. Talk about the food and there are not much options in veg but for non-veg you'll get plenty of options. Ambience: Food taste: Service: (area for improvement as waiting time for food is so long). Menu was excellent First time ate millet Biriyani that's too chicken Didn't expected millet Biriyani in this place The food all we tried were excellent Head chef was so nice , we had a conversation with him and finally I forget his name Good spot for insta photos !! One of the largest space for dinning near rock beach They have a art gallery and a shop Well maintained!! At night it's full of light Some people were inside just to take pictures and spending all most a day in this place but that's not so good may be they bring some minimum spending for visiting this place

We reached late around 10 and the last order they take is until around 11 for food. It's very spacious and clean. Service was quite fast and staff were very humble and helpful. Good food loved the ambiance. We ordered Veg Lasagna, Veg Nachos, Veg pink sauce medium spicy pasta, panner Kathi roll and Cafe Gourmand. Has 1 main entrance second entrance also opens or closes directly in beach. Aesthetic: 4/5 Vibe : calm and chill Food quality: 4/5 Taste : 4/5 Service : 4/5

Good restaurant, located beside the rock beach. The are a part of Villa Shanti, we went to Village Shanti first but it was full so they made a reservation for us at The Spot. Good was good, drinks were also good. Sea food salad was very good. Fish and chips was also very good especially the fries. Just that the servers are not that experienced I guess. Water bottle was not provided and we had to ask for spoons, salt and pepper, tissues and all.

One of the best places I've had the chance to experience. Visited for dinner. The place is right at the promenade, the rock beach, easily accessible by a walk and a vehicle. The lighting provides a comforting ambience. The service is top notch. We were sitting on a corner table, not directly in the line of vision from the central area, and yet, not once did we feel ignored or left out by the service team. They just absolutely knew when we needed their attention and they were there. The burgers, fries, and drinks, are all great. The food was spot on! Ask for a pesto/basil dip to go with the fries, it really elevated the flavour. Highly recommended.

Located on a prime spot and very nearby beach. Just cross the road and you can feel the sea view and nice breeze. About the restaurant. Good ambience. Neat and clean. Hospitality was really good. Staffs were really friendly. Food quality is okay. Starters were good and the main course should have been better. The walkway near the wash rooms are stinking with a bad smell and needs attention.
