This is a major historic place for Indians, one should come here and pay their tribute to the greatest heroes of India Independence. Rest Google and find what's the historic value of this place.
Beautiful place.. Gives a glimpse of what had happened during 1971 Indo-Pak War.. Patriotic Place..A must visit place..
It was really nice. I traveled from muktsar. Prd. Entering started at 5:00 pm, half an hour walk. 6:30pm it started. Everyday they do ceremonies. There is a park to spend family quality time with and a canteen. No tickets not a single penny charge, only parking charges 50/-
The place has it's own historical value...more than that there is a green belt that adds to the beauty of the place...and the hossainiwala border where u can address the parade, that gives u goosebumps and make u feel proud...
Visited in October 2017............... Best place in the entire city. A place that literally gives us goosebumps. Must visit patriotic place which is also well maintained. Parade at border is exciting . Is easily accessible by proper nice roads and has a large parking too. There is something about this place that will immediately fill every Indian with a sense of Pride. The smadhi of Martyrs is well maintained. The fact that one is standing so close to Border which is guarded by Military Personnel makes everyone feel patriotic. Husainiwala station also is a must see place when visiting here. It's like living the History. When we talk about international borders ,India Pakistan border always takes the lead in discussions. And it's always the wagah border at Amritsar that is considered the International border between India and Pakistan. But do u know that there is another International border between India and Pakistan that performs the same retreat ceremony as done at Wagah. The answer is YES. Its the HUSSAINIWALA BORDER at Ferozepur ,Punjab. The same type of retreat ceremony is performed at this border at 5pm every evening. The lowering of the International flags hoisted at the International Border between India and Pakistan is celebrated through a special ceremony known as the BORDER RETREAT. This special practice is being done since 1959. The joint daily military practice is held between security forces of India (Border Security Force, BSF) and Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) . The drill is characterized by show of strength through Stiff movements, hard core parades with attitude but always ends on a positive note of brotherhood and cooperation at the border. The ceremony starts every evening immediately before sunset with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both sides, and ends with the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations' flags. One infantryman stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gates at the border are opened and the two flags are lowered simultaneously. The flags are then folded, and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side, followed by the closing of the gates again. Time of Parade to start : 5:15 in summers and 4:15 in winters. Duration of Parade : 45 min
Nice memorial to visit if you love history. It's strange that they charge for parking here. The train with the video show on Hussainwala would be a nice experience if they had English subtitles and if the space was better managed. It's nice that they give preferential seating to women.
Must visit and do watch indo-pak army parade at 3.30pm-5pm it's amazing. But do arrange some transportation after parade because u wont get any auto from border
Must visit place with family and friends. So well maintained and the frontiers are also very humble. The ceremonial part of the visit is very enjoyable and gives goosebumps that how these Jawans of BSF at Hussainiwala Border are serving at the extreme points of the country with full dedication and devotion towards Matrbhumi to safeguard the entire nation.
