The Igloo Village Sethan - Campground in Manali - Kullu, India

Ohhh very nice place we have enjoyed staying in igloo that was a very horrible experience we have spent there. We have to keep hot water balloons to sleep in the igloo. Without those hot water balloons we were not able to sleep the whole night. I am amazed at how we spent that night. This was a very special but horrible experience in the igloo. You can see the igloo from inside and outside but my recommendation is do not try to spend the whole night. This is not for normal people to stay there.

I wanted to visit place where snowfall happens and somewhere where there was a different experience I could do. I wanted to learn snowboarding from a long time and found this beautiful igloo stay in the village called Sethan, around 12 km away from Manali. They taught me how to Snowboard and probably will be visiting again next year for learning skiing. The staff here is really good and comforting the food they provide is homemade and the igloo stay was magical. This was my first time staying in an Igloo when was really sceptical about the weather as it was minus 30 degree Celsius outside but I couldn't believe it was not uncomfortable at all. It's a must experience.

This place is really heaven. 5000 ft above Manali, Seethan village is so beautiful & untouched area. Scenic views are great. During night temperature was minus 13 deg. celcius. So keep your warmest clothes with you. Try to visit this place by your car only if u have 4x4(only If visiting during snowfall). Otherwise you ca book online. We have taken a package through HippieInHills.in for stay and boarding. They have very reasonble prices and very professional hosting. Must visit place to enjoy snowfall and do ice skiing.

20feb 2022 igloos by Vinod, we had booked 2igloos. Had lots of fun while playing activities like tube sliding, snow skiing. People in this village are very very kind and helpful. They Always listen to you and your problems. #staying in igloo is quite a uncomfortable to everyone but we wanted take a experience in it. Can have room option also. Best place to be here for a day.

Igloo village is 12kms from Manali. We took taxi/scorpio to reach there. It cost us 2k. Place is nice and in March it starts melting and mind it if you want photo or go to Iglu you need to pay money Rs500.. View is awesome and zip line you can do Rs500 and track to the forest. Awesome view must visit! You can enjoy Maggie Rs50 per plate and water etc are available. You need shoes also long shoes which you will get for Rs 100.

It was a good experience. Though it was very cold. Inside Igloo as well. It was a unique. It's not a comfortable as hotel specially with child. We had to walk alot to get Gypsy as normal cars don't go up. Only 4x4 cars can only go. They provided everything including dress, boots and food . We were lucky to see the snowfall. Staff was very friendly. They helped us with everything. Tanisha camp. Thank you!

Even though the road is bad for this place. The scenic route is mesmerizing and the village is beautiful. When I visited it was all snow covered making it even more beautiful. There's a small buddha temple in the center of village. Also two small cafes inside. Of course there were many cafe boards on the way, most of which were closed. The village is surrounded by devdar trees which gives so much oxygen and there won't be much AMS ( acut mountain syndrome) here. Please do visit the small cafe run by Mrs.Nima. she prepares amazing maggi with fresh veggies & greens. Also if you are looking for namak chai / butter tea which you generally get in Ladakh region, this is the place. You also can stay with them and use it as workcation. They have good running wifi.

Best place to stay in Sethan with amazing host's. Special thanks to Sunil, Sunil, and Kapil for making our stay experience very amazing. We had a very warm stay with amazing food, snow activity and gypsy ride. Must visit!!! Highly recommended!!!
