1. Location - Far from the main road, no Uber driver agrees to reach the hotel since roads are too narrow. No sign boards are present to reach the hotel. Also, the place is too noisy. 2. Staff behavior - Initially the staff members were good, but when we denied one of their adventure trip, they started behaving rudely and were not helping us.They even offered us free breakfast incase we cancel the booking after the stay(in order to save their GST amount) 3. About Room - The rooms were not big enough, and they didn't have basic amenities like soap, water bottles. Service is too late and the food was just average (no salt in aloo parantha). 4. Hotel Infrastructure - It's a very small hotel with no cemented outer walls. It looks like a normal house with no reception, common washroom for room and hall and the place is too noisy. You can find far more better hotels in the main city with all the forts easily accessible. Do not get trapped by the terrace view. You can see beautiful views from the top of the mehrangar fort.
Helpful, and accommodating staff - they went out of their way to help me find the hostel in the middle of the night and were there to let me in. They have large, spacious rooms with decent fans (a/c needed recharging at the time, so it's usually available I'm guessing). Towels and toiletries provided, clean individual bathroom. Roof top terrace provides a perfect view of Meherngarh Fort, the Blue City with the Clock Tower nearby, walking distance. The hotel owner, Abhi is friendly, helpful and can book tickets and make arrangements for major attractions. Loved this place!
Room is spacious. Water heater works perfectly for hot showers. Bed and covers are great, comfortable and warm. Food is cheaper than many other hotels or cafes and even though the wait is rather long its overall decent. The location is also quite solid, many attractions are within walking distance. Our host was a great help, answering whatever questions you have, and recommends quite a number of things to do and see in and out of the city.
The owner was very nice and warm, and he treated us with heart. He also help us booked trains tickets.We stayed here for three nights and felt very homely. The room's water heater has always had the quality of hot water. the photos are the same as the rooms. The scenery on the top floor is very Beautiful. I believe he will succeed in operating this house in the future.
We didn't book online and just asked for a room at the hotel, this wasn't a problem. We got a nice deal for the family room and the owner was very helpful, we told him we were going to Jaisalmer after Jodhpur and he kindly told us he could arrange a camelsafari over there. We didn't talk to him after the first day of our stay though. The room had everything we could ask for and aside of this the staff, it's just one guy I think, was really helpful. There is a rooftop restaurant as well. We didn't try the food but just chilled a lot of times on the rooftop, very nice. Really enjoyed our stay, recommend it!
Nice rooms at the first and second floor. The best is the staff, rooftop and location of the home stay. The boy in charge of the homestay is awesome, he helped us all the time and cooked for us good and clean food. The owner is very helpful as well. The worst is the noise outside and the room in the ground floor. I recommend it
Had very very "Bad Experience" with the hotel manager. The hotel manager is not at all genuine person. He is only earning the money but not taking care of rooms especially wash room's and bath room's condition is horrible. He is not having value of The Customer. Always changing his own words. Not committed. Hotel is in the Jodhpur city area but very congested, crowded without parking space. What manager had committed before booking the rooms and what he has served totally different. Only the room care taker is good person. Rest all is pathetic. Do not believe on the manager's commitments. I strongly suggest - do NOT stay in this hotel. One more thing is --- on the checkout day I was having important work so I was following with the hotel manager day before to give me the correct bill so that I can pay. He did not give me the correct bill on time after following with him multiple times. Finally I had to leave the hotel for my important work. (was not having time) . Then I told him to WhatsApp/email me the final correct bill so that I can pay it online. Shockingly he started arguing with me. He started abuse words, shouted on me. Bla bla bla......etc . The hotel manager can do anything for small amount or for 1 rupee also, he is not having faith on himself. I strongly suggest - do NOT stay in this hotel.
Awesome place to stay with best price. The Desti-Nation is located at umaid chowk near mehrangarh fort. The view of Mehrangarh fort from the terrace is just amazing. Mehrangarh fort is just located at walking distance from The Desti-nation. You get best home stay accommodation at dormitory price. This place is mostly preferred by foreigners who are here for exploring Rajasthan as they prefer to stay for a long time.
