Local GuideThe temple is at the base of the savandurga hill. Mesmerizing location. But maintenance is ok.

Local GuideModerate trek place and a beautiful scenic station within 60kms from Bengaluru. Worth a visit and the climb to the peak takes about 2 to 3 hrs. Most of the so called trekkers will be seen with there friends or family. The hill is pretty steep and will surely test your strength of your lungs.

Local GuideLoved the place and trekking! Yes we did trekking! It was first time visit at this place. The journey to the place was lovely, part of stretch is through jungle, should visit to experience the adventure. Temple looked very old, don't have idea of the year it was placed. Aprt from temple, one can do trekking. We did too! Trekking took us 1hr 45 mins to reach the top. At the top u ll have serene view of lush greenery and view of manchanbele dam. View is seriously awesome. For trekking, you do need lot of stamina n part of stretch is steep and its risky (for beginner level). Be safe have fun! Enjoy

Local GuideDon't go if it is a sunny day. I am not sure how it would feel during sunrise. It may be a good point for that. Drive from Bangalore is good. Parking space is there - not paid. Be light for the track as it is not a track but a giant rounded stone. I didn't go to the top but pics will give you a decent idea of what view to expect from top.

The temple is situated foot of a hill and the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape make the journey well worth it. Upon reaching the temple, I was struck by its stunning architecture and intricate carvings. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Narasimha, who is depicted as half-man, half-lion. The idol of the deity inside the temple is said to be over 1000 years old and is made of black stone. The temple was bustling with activity, with devotees praying and performing rituals. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene, with the sound of chants and bells ringing in the air. The temple staff were friendly and welcoming, and provided information about the temple's history and significance. One of the highlights of my visit was the darshan (viewing) of the deity. The idol of Narasimha was resplendent in its beauty, and I felt a sense of awe and reverence in its presence. After the darshan, I took a walk around the temple complex and explored the various shrines and pavilions. Overall, my visit to the Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple at Savandurga was a truly enriching experience. The temple's location, architecture, and spirituality make it a must-visit for anyone interested in Hinduism or seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. I highly recommend this temple to anyone visiting the area
