Happy With Mousumi
First of all, let me say that the place is very beautiful. The natural beauty will attract you.Then if I talk about the World Life sanctuary, I have seen small turtles, crocodiles and beautiful natural beauty.Now, coming to the rent, here it is charged at rs 1800 per boat.The best thing is that the natural beauty here will captivate you, and when they see some wild animals, they take them very close so you can see them up close.I personally like it here. the Satkosia gorge about 130 km from Bhubaneswar, is one of the best places to see the almost 40ft deep gorge and one of the most picturesque gorges in India. The mixed deciduous forests covering the hills along the gorge, once home to a pristine forest which sheltered tigers, elephants, herbivores, birds and other animals, were declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1976. The river is home to crocodiles and gharial . Satkosia in Odisha can be your next stop if you are looking for an outdoorsy holiday in a lesser-known destination.

Beautiful nature of attraction for all seasons & you can get some crocodiles in the river bank. The river Mahanadi is narrowed down to nearly 400 meters & is approx. 250 feet deep. The scenic Mountain View is also superb.

I had the opportunity to visit the Satakosia gorge through the Satakosia tiger reserve . It is one of the few breeding sites of Indian skimmer birds . This endengered bird species is present in only 1200 nos in this area. Apart from these, Gharials and Magars can be seen in this area with groups of turtles just possing to be photographed. The forest department provides boating facility through a limited area of this 14 miles long gorge on the river Mahanadi. 8, 12, and 20 seater boats are available for tourists with life jackets, and the boat driver acts as the guide. The views are just mesmerizing, and the cool breeze of the river is soothing . There is a park, children play area, and adventure zone near the entry of the boating facility. Many turtles, Magars and Gharials, are kept in captivity. A battery-operated vehicle is available from the parking site to the boating facility. Kindly carry cash as hardly any internet is available for online payment. Small hotels are available for food. Packaged drinking water is available near parking. Toilet is available near the entrance to the boating area.

Satkosia Gorge sanctuary is a mesmerizing place. We went to Tikarpara inside the sanctuary. There is nature camp of Odisha eco tourism at Tikarpara. You can have the fantastic view of River Mahanadi & Gorge.

Wonderful place. Amazing beauty. The tour from chamundia gate till boat ride was special. From Bhubaneswar via Kantilo (Nila Madhav temple) the distance till boat ride was 120km took 3 hours. The family thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
