Roopa Restaurant - Restaurant in Surat - Surat, India

A very old restaurant near surat railway station, Every old Surties people have their good memories with this hotel. My father was eating in this restaurant when he was young and now I am the second generation who loves the food of this restaurant. Must try south Indian food specially uttapam and dosa.

We stayed for a night in surat and had our dinner come heavy snack at 5pm at this restaurants as suggested by our reception guy at tye hotel we stayed. We ordered for Tea 9 / 10 Chole bhature - ( two puri and chole ) The puri was fully soaked in oil in not a very obvious kind of way . Chole was out of the world , we never expected such a tasty food from such a restaurant So we ordered for only chole bhaji more , this one tasted different and also chole was spoilt.We did not bother to mention or complain We travel for a night and do not wish to fall ill by eating spoilt food. First chole - 9 / 10 Second chole - minu -9 / 10 spoilt chole Chas - 9 / 10 Service - 3 / 10 ( i think he did not understand the basic instructions or what we wanted and kept saying no to everything , so much so i had to take extra efforts to make him understand what we wanted and then he understood) We asked for bill and bearer did miss to add the bisleri water we took and he included that and gave us back the change. I gave the waiter a 10rs tip I did not count on it and came out to discover i was given a 10rs less . This is disheartening. Not appreciated. PS - you get everything at the mrp Its a cost affective place if you lucky you get fresh and good food.

For all those who love South Indian cuisine and especially crazy for idly sambhar then you must try the food here. Place is decent but food is authentic, located exactly opposite the railway station is the most busy restaurant I have seen time and again.

One of the best restaurant for pure veg. And gujrati dishes. The roopa resturant is as old as surat railway station. May the fourth generation is now running this restaurant with one one service and food quality. I personally recommend all to take visit this restaurant and feel the joy of hospitality and quality of food. Rated 10/10.

Been there multiple times. Has great experience. Whenever I visit surat I don't experiment with my appetite and visit roopa for lunch. Staff and the Owner is very polite and generous. Quality of service and food is also good. Will recommend to visit once.

One of the best idly wada sambar, it was unexpected for me to find so amazing south indian food here. Highly recommended
