Local GuideWe visited there on our penultimate night at Varanasi for Rabri Lassi and Chhas or salted Lassi. We really liked the Lassi but more was expected from this shop as the curd was a little bit watery for my taste and as it was almost closing time, the ambience also got a bit clumsy with multiple overflowing dustbins and muddy storefront with millions of flies. Overall the experience could have been better.

Local GuideAlmost every afternoon we stopped at Phaltan to enjoy their lassi and in the night to taste their hot kesar milk. Their samosas and Gulab Jamoons were also excellent. It's a small shop and it gets crowded. The locals pack their sweets including malai, Rabadis etc. Anotger must place in Varanasi.

There are 3 lassi shops on the same name and all the shops run by same family members. The 1st shop is the oldest one. Now comes to the lassi, rabri and malai was on the top of lassi. The plain lassi was also tasty.All type of lassi costs Rs60 the big one and Rs30 the small one.

Local GuidePahalwan Lassi is a must visit street food outlet when visiting Kashi/Varanasi. They have limited variety of food items: sweet lassi with or without rabri topping, kachori, laung lata sweet. Now there are many shops with the same name, but the original shop is located at the corner. The owners are courteous with customers. Food is delicious (we visited twice during our 2.5 days stay), rates are reasonable. Ambience may be an issue for someone who's a freak about hygiene.
