OYO Hotel Merimaid - Hotel in Munnar - Idukki, India

The hotel is situated at the heart of the town and has ample parking space. Finding the hotel is a bit of a task as its not easily visible from the road. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The two bed room can easily accommodate 3 or 4 comfortably; its that big. The building seems to be of British construction, this increases the visual appeal of the rooms. Its actually makes you feel as if you are staying in a really expensive room even though it is actually a budget friendly room. The staff on-site were really helpful and friendly. The restaurant there is also good despite the limited menu and the delay in getting the food ordered. So if you are on a hurry, skip the meals from here.

Stay was good. Looks like they renovated old bunglow as a hotel but large rooms and spacious parking for many vehicles. Breakfast was not ready even we told to make it at the mentioned time. Hot water is available. Liked the stay. Had dinner from outside. Had idly sambar as breakfast and it was good.

This hotel is located at the heart of munnar. You have access to city commute and hence it's easy to roam around to multiple attraction. Apart from that the staffs are welcoming. It's a renovated old building and hence it has its own downsides . But to an average family traveller this would be a decent experience within budget. For a quick one day stay this would be a nobrainer. however if you are looking for a 2-3 day outing i wouldn't suggest this especially for family.

Very nice biriyani. Had lunch there and parcelled biriyani after that. Good hospitality. There's bathroom also. Neat looking restaurant with garden. Town area and hence easily accessible. Lot of parking space. If you're planning a bus trip, the bus can easily be parked in their garden. Good experience.

I booked this hotel but OYO booked somewhere other town when I went actually this is govt PWD guest house totally disappointed pls don't book this hotel

Good place clean rooms they have very spacious rooms excellent internal room view, i feel the construction is done by British i liked very much. Their restaurant food is tasty and the service is also excellent i recommend guys if you people are looking for accomadation in munnar. Please go for this.

We stayed in this hotel. Book it online from apps like makemytrip your my get up to 50% off. It is located in the center of munnar town. Hotel has enough parking area. It's a safe place and I would recommend for family and couple.

Except location this hotel isn't worth for family stay. Very old and fragile structure. Restaurant is very ordinary too. Service isn't great as well.
