OYO 8569 Hotel Himalayas - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

hotel is very nice. this is just a few steps from mg marg. we arrived at hotel at 1pm in night and they provide us best service. room are clean. gysers are working. washrooms are clean. and attandant Mr. jha ji is very nice and sweet person. luggage will be picked and drop from room to reception.

I feel terribly disappointed to talk about the unfair incidents we had to deal with at Hotel Himalayas Namnang, Gangtok. The booking for the hotel Himalayas Namnang was done on 08th Nov, 2019. And we reached Gangtok on 9th evening 8.30pm, but we were not able to find the hotel through Google search. Almost after an hour of search finally we managed to find the hotel. Infront of the hotel we didn't find even a proper name board. When we approached the hotel reception what we understood from their staff's behaviour was, they have zero knowledge of handling the clients. Their behavior towards us was much rude and unprofessional. We would have left the 'so called hotel', if we hadn't invested our money. The next issue was of parking, they have it only for their boss. The customers vehicles shouldn't be parked in its premisses. Where in the world have you heard such a weird rule !! Next come the rooms. We were in the peak of distress seeing it's condition. It was very small unlike room shown in the online ad. The mucky room with stinking bathrooms, a 'showpiece' gyesyer and television (which they claim to be was not working because they forgot to recharge it's subscription pack, which coincidentally ended on the very same day ... No remote was seen either and we are sure that they would not have given it, even if the TV started to work.)added fuel to our miserable situation. Adding up everything, we demanded to meet the owner madam. A lady who was the 'patron of ego' (no better word to describe her). She had super fine lame excuses for every issue we faced there in her 'hotel'. We felt pity about ourself. She was not hesitant in giving a us feeling that we are enjoying the 'luxurious stay' for free of cost. The next day they didn't give us the breakfast as mentioned in the package, the reason they made for that was that their staff members were on leave and they didn't had enough supplies to make the food. On the next day they gave us a 'grant breakfast' by 8 am in the morning.... 2pieces of bread toast. Damn ... It was very heavy you know !! With majority of their staff being minors what else can you expect. Be greatful dude, we warned ourselves !!!! What is the whole point of running a hotel like this? Whatever we pay is too much for the facilities they provide at Namnang Gangtok. It's really been worst experience I have ever had in my life being a travel enthusiast. Bravo people !! You have long way to go .....

Best hotel with best location. Very nice hotel with excellent maintenance. Staffs are co-operative. Neat n clean rooms. Food is awesome and delicious. Ignore negative review. Different people with different perception. Visit yourself and then experience.

Worse hotel in Gangtok. They are showing fake pic of hotel. Rooms are very poor. Room service very poor. They ask u advance and if u pay by showing the pic u ll never get what u pay for. Nighter they refund u. Also never book any trip for sight seen.. they take money from u but not pay to the tour operator and ll face huge problem at the time of travel. Manager is worse. Never come to hotel and at the time of emergency she never pickup the phone.. worse hotel in gangtok..

One of the best budget hotels in Gangtok. I got clean room/washroom with 24 hours hot water service. Very near to MG Marg. If you get reasonable rate, don't think twice before booking this hotel.

This place is located at walking distance from the MG Marg Market and is a very good budget accommodation in Gangtok. The rooms are very big, maybe a bit too big. It is also very well maintained and clean and the service is also very good. The complementary breakfast provided is also of very good quality. The only drawback was that the wifi was not working when I went there. Other than that this hotel perfectly fit the bill for an ideal budget accommodation for any traveller to Gangtok. Highly recommended from my side.

I was searching for a good and affordable hotel for stay at Gangtok and then I found this one. Great stay!! The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing.

Rooms are average, have spider webs. TV is provided but isn't functioning. Asked the staff for the same thrice, but they didn't do anything. The another rook I booked had water heating issues. Breakfast was included while I was booking rooms but they have only bread and omelette. After long discussion he was ready to provide tea and plain bread for breakfast. Experience wasn't good with this hotel.
