It's old and important station in new Farakka in murshidabad but not so much clean
New Farakka Railway Station, also known as NFK Jn, is a significant railway station located in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal, India. It is one of the biggest railway stations in the district, and a crucial stop for many trains on the Howrah-Delhi Main Line. Having visited the station and witnessed its facilities, I can confidently say that it is one of the most well-maintained railway stations in the region. One of the things that immediately struck me about the station was how clean and organized it was. The platforms were spotless and free of litter, and the station building itself was well-maintained and in good condition. The station staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a noticeable sense of order and efficiency throughout the station. Another noteworthy feature of NFK Jn is that the ticket counters are located outside of the platform. This means that passengers can purchase their tickets and then wait comfortably on the platform without having to worry about being caught in the rush of other passengers trying to buy tickets. The ticket counters themselves were well-staffed and efficient, with minimal waiting time. NFK Jn is conveniently located near the Farakka Bus Stand, which is a major transportation hub for the region. This makes it an ideal location for travelers who are looking to connect between different modes of transportation. Additionally, the station is located near the Ganga river, which offers scenic views and an opportunity for passengers to enjoy a peaceful walk by the river. Overall, The staff and facilities are top-notch, and the station's convenient location makes it an ideal stop for travelers looking to connect between different modes of transportation.
No amenities for long route passengers.not even drinking water in the station.
Station corridor was neat and clean. Waiting hall facilities for all passengers was very nice. Easy and assiable entrance gate. Walkway is good and we can reach easily at platform without any steps / stairs.
All are good but, Service is poor.
Visiting the Farakka barrage, it is the best platform. You come to this station & visit the Farakka Barrage. Last time from pakur to Farakka I travelled .
Very neat and clean, most of the train having stoppage including Satabdi.
It's a nice station. WiFi available near ticket counter (near 1no platform). Separate reservation waiting hall it's nice and secured place. Cheap price room available at railway station.
