Had ordered Mankalam chicken biriyani ,for lunch ,from this restaurant,with the excitement of the name,biriyani in kalam,gave this order ,but when we got it home delivered,it was like the kizhi biriyani style ,felt really disappointed.It was ok taste wise!
Though i liked the kalam biriyani ,i have had it quite no of times, something came to notice as i felt change in flavour each time not in bad way still i prefer it to be consistent ( may be that happened just to me) . Otherwise the place is good for experience. Momos which only got once was fabulous.
Not as expected. Item quality is below average. Quantity is good but no use if the quality is not upto the mark. Taste is also not good. Just ok, that's it.
A neat and clean restaurant. Came with great expectations, but the food was not something special. Had mankalam biriyani and fish curry meals. The mankalam biriyani is somewhat bland with very little masala, long basmati rice, had an egg and two pieces of chicken. The meals was nothing special and the fish curry too. But worth the 1100 rupees for the meals. Luckily when we went there was not too much rush.
Standard has lowered from that in the beginning. I had visited this place 2 yrs ago when the food was amazing and there were lot of options. But now it seems to be gone. May be they are just gearing up after lockdown
Very homely and tasy food. But lack of parking space is a problem. Need to improve service. Digital billing is must needed. Food is very tasty. Shawaya,kothuporotta are highlights. Must visit for a change of taste.
The shop looks small from the front, but they have ample space upstairs. We went for lunch and tried the Mankalam beef and mutton biriyani. The beef biriyani was good with enough quantity. The mutton was average and a bit costly (180/). No egg on the biriyani :( The lime juice could have been colder. They served free payasam. Happy Ramadan :)
