Magadh University is built on the land donated by a Hindu mahanth. Actually it is located at about 8-10kms away from the main city Gaya at Bodhgaya. Gaya is known as place of emancipation and Bodhgaya as enlightenment. But nowadays Bodhgaya has become a place of entertainment and Gaya a place of enjoyment. So the people have wide range of avenues where they can spend their weekend. So the new blood birds may be seen chirping in the parks of Bodhgaya, which the freshers of Magadh University may be seen. The senior ones may be seen pricking and scratching their heads near the archaeological sites. Decidedly the weekend is supposed to be used by the individual the way he or she likes. Since almost all the countries having Budhist followings have their temples and monasteries at Bodhgaya, the students unfailingly go at least once,there. Though Budha got enlightenment here, there is an amusing saying here that this is the place where you can get hill without forest, river without water and man without mind. The last can't be verified. Recently one more property is doing the round that this is the red city without a corona. So nowadays the students of the university are thinking about these things at weekends

Before going into the details I would like to tell that I'm giving 2 star not for the infrastructure but for the schedule and academic delays. Magadh University, located in Bodhgaya near domuhan. Founded by Satyendra Sinha ji in 1962. University runs under bihar government and affiliated with UGC. University have more than 20 Pg departments and over 35 affiliated colleges including gaya college. University provides a big hub for students of Magadh division to study higher education at a very affordable price. The infrastructure are very good and surrounded by greenery all around, a big campus and hotels facilities available for both girls and boys. IIM MBA has also been started years ago The only and big concern is about the academic delays. One taking addmission for 2018-2020 batch for a pg course suppose then it take atleast 3 years to complete his study. It's a major concern for students taking addmission in the university

Due to division of the university and other associated issues examination of the university were delayed. An educational set up where none of the staffs reach office on time and come at around 11 am while quite punctual at closing time and most of the time these idle bribery loving employees pre leave their seats and went off. Extreme lack of professionalism with 0 etiquettes and humanity at far from this campus. This is the best example to understand why Bihari students migrate to cosmopolitan for better future.

Well maintaine University in the bihar but only one thing wrong in this university is its completion of course.when you studied any course then yours course couldn't complete in a given time it's also cross more than give time it's not in a week or month it's happened in years.

With 44 constituent colleges, 24 PG departments and 85 affiliated colleges, Magadh University is the largest university of Bihar. Magadh University was established in 1962 by Satyendra Narayan Sinha, an educationist and the then Education Minister of Bihar. K. K. Dutta, a renowned historian, was the founder vice-chancellor. It started functioning from 2 March 1962 with two constituent colleges, 32 affiliated colleges and seven postgraduate departments. In 1992, 17 constituent colleges were transferred to the newly constituted V.K. Singh University, Arrah (Bhojpur). The university has grown to have 24 postgraduate departments, 44 constituent colleges, and 85 affiliated colleges imparting higher education in Humanities, Social Science, Science, Commerce, Medical, Engineering and Management. Several professional/vocational courses like M.B.A., M.C.A., B.C.A., B.B.M. Environmental Science, Tourism & Travel Management, Counseling & Rehabilitation, Journalism & Mass Communication, etc. are being run in constituent/affiliated colleges. There are two government Medical Colleges, two private Engineering Colleges, one private Dental College and three Law colleges under the university. Magadh University also providesdistance learning facilities. In 2018, Magadh University was bifurcated and colleges falling within two district namely Patna and Nalanda that were under Magadh University earlier has now been placed underPatliputra University. Personal experience. It's situated 10-15 k.m away from GAYA junction. University campus is very beautiful n clean too. There is several park where student can seat and have good time. In campus central bank is available and 2-3 ATM is also available. 2 canteen is also available for some good snacks. But some staff is very courrpt they fool students for giving wrong information to get some bribes I don't say all staff are like that some are honest n cooperate with student. So before going for any work collect some information related to your work from senior or if not I m always here to give you right information. Thanks

it's very good university because all members are so nice behaviour. but building construction is not good. need for improvement. i was going to magadh university main office from gate no. 2 . it was 1.2km distance from gate no. 2 to MU office. but one guard saw . he was very nice person. he lifted to me...really all person in this university is very nice.
