Lehvenda is one cafe one needs to learn from. How do you build a clientele with a second floor location in a concrete mall? The Lehvenda's secret is its narrow traditional Ladakhi wooden balcony with high stools overlooking the market and the Leh Palace to one side. I chose to sit inside as I wanted to read, the place was packed, except for a solo-seat table, thank God for that! It's good to see that the Lehvenda is having a great season as always. I'd enjoyed coffee on its sunny balcony in the winter of 2021-22. One of the few cafes in Leh that remained open that winter. I was grateful for that. There's been a 100% turnover in the staff, and the young men and women who kept the show going that winter, alas, have moved on. I ordered a double shot cappuccino, and requested that it be extra hot. Hot it was! And the coffee was divine. But such a divine thing came in an itsy-bitsy cup! That hurt!
Great place for breakfast and lunch! We ate here the Omelette with cheese & my mushroom which was wonderful. For lunch, we recommend the Pasta Arbiata, which has the exact level of spiciness. In general, good place with great service and food!

Lovely cafe, it's quite popular so you may not find a seat quickly but that's the downside of being good. Loved the ambience, coffee was great and the pizza was good too. The staff is also friendly and warm. It's in the middle of the main market so easy to find. Loved the overall experience.
