Beautiful lake surrounded by lush green Tea Plantations. A tiny little island formation in the middle of a lake is beautiful. You can't get into the water and just enjoy nature.
Beautiful lake view among hills of tea plantations. The cold atmosphere and calmness makes us visit again.
Meghamalai is a non commercialized hill station where you can enjoy the real beauty of nature. A good picnic spot for families
Feel the mother nature after climbing the hill from chinnamanur, It just wonderful spot no words to explain. Such a beautiful sightseeing spot, we are really enjoyed. During our visit it was 16 to 18 degree temperature. Visiting timings: The check post will closed 6pm to 6am, so no tourists are allowed to climb the hill Elephant crossing zone: you can find lot of elephant dung in first 10 kms, so we can understand elephant walking through the way but unfortunately we didn't find any no public toilet facility, no restaurants, no boating but there is one small tea shop where we can get breakfast/lunch/dinner. The food is good and it is very near in the lake (refer pics for more details) Stay: not sure about the rooms, we didn't plan for that but I heard there are 3 to 4 private resorts, you guys google it. And there is govt guest rooms are there and it cost Rs 1600/- per night (confirm once again) but the rooms are just normal (not advisable for family) Visited on 08th Nov 2020, no pass required but I heard cars are not allowed after 4pm only if the crowd is high during weekends so plan your trip in the morning. If you have any booked resorts then no issues they will allow up to 6pm Leave your thumbs up if it helped.
Megamalai Lake View Point is a hidden paradise in the Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu. The breathtaking panorama of the lush Megamalai landscape, with the tranquil lake nestled below, is simply mesmerizing. This remote spot offers an ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts. The cool, misty air and the serenity of the surroundings create a sense of calm. The viewpoint is well-maintained, and the hike to reach it is worth every step. As you gaze upon the picturesque lake and the mist-covered hills, you'll feel truly connected to nature. The diverse birdlife and the sound of the forest add to the enchantment. If you seek a peaceful escape from the daily grind and want to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Western Ghats, Megamalai Lake View Point is a must-visit destination.
Wonderful picnic spot, without human disturbtion. Beutiful scenarios of greenery, water and sky. But not much options for shops, the panjayot guest house has a shop and small restaurant and we do have one more but not operative many times. So recomme

Nice place. Clean and chill water. Went on a Friday(sep 8th) and had the falls just to our family. Felt a bit remote but later a small crowd came when we started returning. Forest guards were there, so no need to worry about safety. You need to wa
I wa lucky enough to experience all the rain and fog while I was here. If you have to travel more than a 60 km to reach here, it's preferable to stay overnight to enjoy the complete experience of this place. Food options are less. Few small restauran
Perfect for a one day family or friends trip. Plan your trip in September to enjoy the breeze of the rain forest. Jeep safari is totally wasteful. They get you a single place trip with a charge of 1000-1500.
