Lake Castle Alleppey Villa - Hotel in Alappuzha - Alappuzha, India

Comfortable and safe place to stay for a family. I stayed with a family and kids for 2 nights. Owner is very friendly and helpful. He arranged a small boat trip and a boat house stay. Boat house is really clean and good and the food in the boathouse is awesome. Breakfast is good. This place is very close to the Market and the main boat house locations. Overall a comfortable and relaxed experience. I stayed here in October 2019. Thank you!

Rooms were comfortable,clean and cozy. Breakfast by Matthew was tasty and filling. Service is good. It is max 5-7 mins drive to Alleppey market. Well connected and beautiful. If informed in advance meals will be provided. Would definitely recommend this place !!

It was a nice stay. Its homestay. Properity owner mr methews is a kind person. We booked non ac rooms bt he provided ac rooms without any additional charges. Location is nice. Washroom & rooms are spacious. Somewhat problem we faced are abt hot water in washroom. Overall i recommend this one.

This is one of those "home Stay" which are neither home-stay , nor, a hotel. THe facility si run by a guy named Mathew . We stayed for 3 nights and yet , we didn't get any food for any days except morning tea. Good: - I believe the price is OK for these kind of stays. The owner/caretaker of the place was helpful and courteous ( I think this is true for most of the Kerala hotels - they are usually helpful and courteous ) . -- The room is big enough for a family . - Peaceful location - The location is also nearby to the canals ( around 2 km from KSRTC bus stand and Canals) . We could get auto quite easily outside the hotel ( please note- auto charges are quite high at Alleppey...they can charge Rs 50/- Rs 80/- for 2 KM journey) . Bad: - As mentioned, there is hardly any food facilities inside hotel. Even outside, there is not much option of food at walkable distance. We used to have our dinner from City and come back to hotel . - I couldn't see any room service . I used to call the Mathew for water etc . - No good view from any of the rooms Conclusion : Good option for back-packers ;but, there are quite a few of these kind of 'homestay' at Alleppey .

Wonderful hotel with a feel like home, Full freedom has been given to Visitors. Owner has broken fence to let us fish in the near by lake. So kind of him, and immediate response for any thing asked. Deserves 5 star rating for the hospitality ther are providing

No hot water, TV was playing up from the start. Beds are soft though and the staff are friendly. The WiFi isn't great you have to sit next to the box to get it to work. The staff did our laundry but I don't gunk it will be dry by tomorrow. Rooms are clean and there is soap and toilet paper provided. Although I did share my shower with some ants.

Hardly 1 km from boarding point. Owner Mathew is a good guy. We had booked 3 rooms for one day. As our train was late Mathew allowed us to stay more than 5 hours after 12pm. We had taken Shikara boat from Mathew with good price. Our Alleppey trip was good due to Mathew. Rooms are neat and clean.

Location:- On the main road to Finishing point. Easy access to public transport. View:- No lake views. Get a garden facing room, it's the best they have. Infra:- The property is basically a large Villa converted to a resort, hence the size of rooms differ. Since Alleppey is pretty Humid, better opt for an AC room. There are mosquitoes, they'll trouble U, if U ignore them. Close all doors & windows. Another reason to get an AC room ;-) Food: No lunch/dinner stuff. Only basic breakfast with tea/coffee, which is nice. Service:- These guys are really attentive and helpful. They are pretty chilled out even if you call them up at 2 in the morning too, dat too fr a bottle of water ;-) Cheers to Mathew & his colleague to make it work well. P.S. do not book boat/houseboats/Shikara from the hotel itself. Go out to the lake & negotiate a striking deal.
