It has three golden pots when it was built. But two pots were looted by the looters from calcutta. And after that the king of mayurbhanj has made special arrangement for the safety of the last golden pot. The arrangement was whenever someone will trt to touch that golden pot situated in the top of temple automatically there was a gun in the mayurbhanj palace which will shoot the person who has tried to touch it.
