Hotel Mayur - Hotel in Purulia - Purulia, India

Check-in wasn't smooth and much of the process is duplicated. Great location for off-road parking in the centre of the city. Room was comfortable but shoddy (bed sheets torn, decoration old and dated). Staff were helpful although small annoyance that they gave me bottled water on arrival in my room and then tried to charge me for it later. No mention it wasn't complementary and I hadn't asked for it.

Rooms not par with the charge. In a Rs. 2000 room, chilling of AC doesn't work properly - turns off automatically, tv doesn't start, phone to call reception doesn't work, but extremely high charge. Even in mountains, we get better rooms in lower charge. Only good is the location - exactly opposite sbstc busstand purulia. I won't recommend it to anyone.

Just ok.the non AC rooms are just ok enough.sometimes they don't even bother to clean the rooms afterwards someone has left.hairs on bed and polythene flying around are something you may find often

Staffs were very helpful. Hotel is located few steps from Purulia bus stand which makes it easier to access. I found many other people staying in the hotel for their business trip. We stayed there for only holiday. The hot water in the washroom doesn't work but staffs brings hot water into the room as and when guests demands from them and they take back their bucket. One big problem we faced is mosquitoes. There were lots of mosquitoes inside the room even when the doors and windows were closed. All out/ goodnight didn't work well. If they could provide mosquito net then it will be better for anyone.

Edit : The quality has been degraded. No food including the breakfast is available now here. Disgusting. 1st note : Mayur Hotel is cheap. That is it's first good point. You may not get high class facilities but you can surely get warm behaviour from the staffs. Lunch and Dinner you will have to order from outside and hotel boys will bring that to you. You can go for it if you have a tight budget.

A decent hotel, provided you wish nothing fancy. Value for money. Centrally located inside the town and has a decent fully covered car parking space. We were carrying some perishable food and they helped us preserve it by keeping it in their refrigerator. They also allowed one of my friend to cook some speciality dish.

Rooms are untidy until you howl at the staffs. Toilet is too small. Pillow given is having holes in them. Bedsheets are too dirty. Staffs give you Tapwater instead of RO Mineral Water. Also, blankets are too smelly.
