Amazing place! Only one room is available to book online and it's a true gem. This forest rest house is in Bandapani forest and beside a dry large riverbed. Plenty of peacocks live here and one can hear thier call almost always. Even Hornbills are there on those large trees and all these can be enjoyed from the beautiful balcony. Lastly the food cooked by Kailash da is amazing. All the ingredients need to be carried and then enjoy the tasty food. Overall a relaxing, peaceful destination in forest.
This is still an offbeat place. There is just one room for the public, non-ac. Geyser available. There is a facility of kitchen but you have to pay 500 per day to the cook cum caretaker and 100rs for the gas. Groceries either you can buy or pay separately to the cook.
An awesome place ONLY for Nomads and Explorers! Average tourists please give it a pass! Walking distance from the Bhutan border, this is an unreal place! Surrounded by Pagli and Khagrakhola rivers and on two sides, Bandapani forest on other two! The "Mahakal Baba" or wild elephant is occasionally seen in this area! Only food available is what is being cooked by Kailash Da the caretaker! We never imagined making it to a place like this when we started our rod trip from Bangalore! The property is rustic and little rundown but for Rs500 per night it is ok. The river bed is a great place to take your vehicle if you like off-roading! If you love serenity and wanna spend a day or two in peace.. this is the right place for all you nature lovers.. this jungle inspection camp from West Bengal forest department is a perfect blend of scenic beauty and peace.. with no electricity at night which might come as an surprise for you , well it may tinkle that naughty lil part of you from childhood ... Carry food materials and grocery from birpara(nearest town) and there is no canteen around or shops.. Enjoy your stay if can book....

It has two rooms but the main problem is running water there is shortage of water in dry season.
