I have stayed here 3 times and each time I come back feeling relaxed . The location is amazing just at the beach side and the Pappu and Sangeeta , the lovely staff members are always ready to help with anything required. You can book directly with the ishita who owns the villa. Can't wait to go back.
Have such cherished memories from the weekend at Azul. 2min walk from the beach, with beautiful views from the property's terrace. Each room is spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities one needs. Great for lounging and unwinding in South Goa, away from the hustle and bustle. Would definitely love to stay here next time too!
With clean, comfortable rooms and pretty outdoor spaces, Azul Villa is the perfect place to relax. I love that it's right next to Velsao beach and is very peaceful with beautiful views all through the day! Lovely for walks and to enjoy the sunset. It also has a fully functional kitchen so you can cook and eat your meals in the dining room or at the tables outside while you take in the view (the latter is my favourite thing to do!). There are some grocery shops a short drive away if you require anything else. The host (Ishita) and the caretakers (Pappu and Sangeeta) are very pleasant and are always happy to help. :)
I stayed at Azul Villa for 4 nights with my family consisting of 03 adults during the Christmas holidays. We found Azul Villa as per our expectations. The villa was spacious and located right opposite the secluded Velsao Beach. The beach was hardly frequented by tourists due to its remoteness & is mostly used by fishermen for their daily chores. The accommodation in the villa was exactly as shown in the photographs. The rooms were clean, wifi was working with good speed, towels & bed sheets were clean. Pappu & Sangeeta, the caretaker duo, were always prompt, well-behaved and helpful. However, I want to mention here a few issues we faced during our stay at Azul Villa for the benefit of future guests and for information of Ishita to get them addressed. We found the utensils in the kitchen not cleaned prpoerly. On the first day, Pappu cleaned the utensils, which was not to our satisfaction. So from the next day onwards, we preferred to clean utensils ourselves. The mixer grinder in the kitchen was used by the caretakers in their home & wherever we needed it for cooking, we had to ask for it, which could have been avoided with better supervision by the host. We reached Ishita's property at 4 PM on Christmas day after a long 8 hours journey from Kolkata due to change of flight etc. We were really tired and looking for a well-earned rest in Azul Villa. Since Ishita mentioned in her listing that she has a well stocked kitchen, we thought of having a home cooked meal before retiring for the night. But we were shocked to find the only food items stocked in the kitchen were a packet of common salt and a small jar of sugar. No tea, coffee or fruits for the guests coming all the way from their homes located far away from Goa! When I called Ishita, she curtly informed that she provides only breakfast items and Pappu would arrange for it. Regarding other food items, she advised me to go to the supermarket which was about 10-15 minutes drive by car from the villa. Finding no other alternative, I took Pappu in my rented car to the nearest provision store, where he handed me a loaf of bread, a packet of milk, a pack of tea and 06 eggs and went away for his own work. We bought food items for our dinner and subsequent meals from the supermarket. Since the villa is located far away from the nearest market and provision stores, we expected that the Airbnb host would at least provide the basic food items in her well stocked(!) kitchen. It was also in line with what we experienced in other Airbnb properties in the last few years. However, when I got the message from Ishita about what to expect or rather what not to expect from the superhost, we made all the arrangements ourselves and our holiday went on smoothly without any hitch. I also want to mention two issues we faced in the villa: 1. Small cockroaches were found in abundance in the villa especially in the kitchen cupboards. Another guest also mentioned about the nuisance in an earlier review, but the problem still persists. 2. The dining area does not have any AC or fan, so it feels very hot and humid and the dining experience becomes very uncomfortable. It appears that there are some issues in fixing a ceiling fan due to the low ceiling/overhead beam, but wall mounted fans can be fixed for the comfort of the guests. Lastly, since the day I booked my accommodation and especially during my stay in the villa, the host never cared to speak to me to enquire whether we were comfortable in her accommodation or we faced any issue during our stay. This is in stark contrast with the other Airbnb hosts with whom I interacted earlier; all of them were found to be very communicative, kind and co-operative. On the contrary, I found Ishita non communicative and insensitive to the needs & wellbeing of her guests.
Great villa. Good for 4-5 people. The caretaker is also very good and very helpful. It's very close to beach, we used to just go to beach in morning, evening, night. Very quiet place. Very remote too. There are free issues, one is the wifi which doesn't work at all. The other is that since it's very remote, hence nothing is available nearby. Even to get milk you can't go walking.
Beautiful property in a secluded and picturesque location. The views are to die for. Spacious and well furnished house for all your needs. Be sure to rent a vehicle and stock up on essentials. I wish I had a longer stay planned but nevertheless, enjoyed every bit of the stay.
Beautiful seaside bungalow in a charming South Goa village, less than a minute's walk from a clean, quiet and almost private beach. Scrupulously clean. Our kids loved the huge sandy front yard to play and run around in.
A beautiful villa type house in south Goa if you want to relax and stay away for the hustle bustle. It's a small village and the beach is just a stone's throw away from this place. There is ample space in front of the villa and you can use it for sports activities. The house has 2 double beds in two rooms and one single bed in another room. It can easily accommodate 5 people. There is a kitchen if you want try your hand at cooking. There are no restaurants close-by, you need to drive 5kms for the nearest town. Overall I had a very good experience except for the price. 9k for a night was too pricey.
