This is one of those places where you will find the vibes of your granny's ancestral home. Everything cooked in slow cooking method over wooden fire and clay utensils. Food was served on brass utensils and pattal. Very rustic homely atmosphere. Will visit there again and again. No extra oil, no extra spice.. It's not only super tasty and very healthy too.. If you want to detoxify yourself from regular restaurants then definitely visit here and have a meal that will touch your soul with the subtle flavours and taste.

I am very impressed with the food and concept. The location too is quiet and apt for a peaceful lunch. However, the price is very high as compared to the quantity. The portions and the size of the pieces were small. If they improve this, i would love to go back.

This was my second visit and much better than the first one. This time the food selection, going with suggestions of lady there was good. Tried many things first time lime rice tea, mohua ladoo and others

We order Red rice, rice chilka , maduwa chilka, maduwa non veg momos , dal pitha , kurdum chutney, phutkal chutney, phutkal tiyan , Desi chicken full ( even not enough for one person) , khukdi , rugdra , Desi dal , more repeat orders Let's move into the experience The place is not on road it leads to a narrow path leading to the colony midst located Ajam Emba. To my disappointment the view of the place wasn't appealing , entering the place i felt the dampness due to the compac space where less natural light entered even in day time and the light weren't bright enough to feel the joy of the place , cultural and food description are at display but too dusty not maintained neither it has the appeal to keep your intrest at the place. I would say serving authentic or cultural food lack the authenticity in its ambience. Coming to the food served were good but who has eaten jharkhandi food will know the difference in taste especially the vegetable recipes other than that the foods were simple comfortable, though the price of the food in comparison to the quantity severed weren't comfortable or light on you pocket , it was way too expensive. The menu changes according to the availability and seasonal vegetables of course .The menu prepared is such that you would be forced to order more due the less quantity, as the quantity won't satisfy you like full Desi chicken won't be sufficient for one person even as it consist of nine piece but the size is very tiny which will cost you Rs450 - Rs500, jharkhandi veg thali costs you Rs600. One can visit once but that also if they have loaded pockets n doesn't hesitates in spending blindly. Staffs were good.

I love this place .It does not look like any restaurant .It looks like a home .If they can put some hoarding so many more people can know and come this tasty yummy traditional recipes.

Really a awesome and unique experience. Food quality lajwaab. So fresh and pure.less oily. Love the homely ambience. It reminds me of my native village house.

Yes to more places like this! Super impressed by Aruna Tirkey and her generosity in sharing knowledge about food with us. Every dish was special and delicious and clearly made and served with love. I would come here again everytime I am in Ranchi.
